This is the story of two "refocused" business owners who have stepped back from working full time to do a little of what we have preached for many years to our clients.

25 Jul, 2010 - The Elusive Barra
Second full day here on the Daly River so another early start to launch the boats and head up the river....it is regrettably my last day here as Max is driving me into Darwin tomorrow to fly to Sydney for a conference. The others will be here until Thursday so hopefully they will have some more barra by then. Pete and Kev are now catching a bit of live bait "cherubin" which looks like a small prawn and are hoping to have more luck tomorrow heading in the opposite direction down river. The crossing in the wet is under 13 mts. of water and is closed when covered by 500 cms.

ReplyDeleteHi Max & Faye - we are in Port Douglas for a week's break from CHILLY Melbourne. Time to catch up on your travels. All sounds wonderful & pleased to hear the fishing has begun with good results. Ken has taken James & Greg (friend from England) up to Mossman Gorge and Daintree. Catherine & I poolside nursing allergic sandfly bites (there is a downside to the tropics! Cheers Jane.
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteThe photos are great. Maddison is enjoying Mum's postcards. I will try and email some more photos of the problem child Annalese.
The weather looks much better than here. We have had over 100 mil of rain in two days.
Lots of Love
Julie, Mat, Maddi and Annalese.
