This is the story of two "refocused" business owners who have stepped back from working full time to do a little of what we have preached for many years to our clients.

13 Jul, 2010 - Qantas Museum Longreach
Kevin.... or was it Peter, take every opportunity to play little jokes on us all. I have had my thongs tied together and Max somehow was in the firing line of a champagne cork....but their turn will come. This morning we enjoyed another superb breakfast, it just tastes better when cooked outside, then off to the Qantas Museum. Max was off to the dentist as he suddenly has a troublesome crown but will have to wait until Darwin to have it fixed. The Museum was well worth the visit and like everything out here, depends on the tourist. I must say most of the towns are teaming with all types of caravans, poptops, campers and 4WD vehicles so the "Baby Boomer" is contributing to the economy. Dinner was by candlelight under our awning with Peter excelling himself cooking Roast Lamb/veges in his weber, assisted by Karen with more veges and I cooked Baked Pears with crumble and Vanilla Bean Icecream....very civilized camping. Tomorrow we are travelling to Boulia via Winton.

I am also new to this Blog thing. Typed up a story to post to yesterdays pics. Failed!! Anyway, just wanted to let you know that your journey is bringing memories of Bev & my travells around Australia in our Jayco Euro motorhome that we bought from Watsons in 2007. You will recognise us from the recent TV add on NBN. We sure seen plenty of you 2 just before you started your trip! Have a great trip, we will keep an eye on you.
ReplyDeleteAre you going to WA?
Regards, Des & Bev Fittock.
Hi Guys,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you are all eating well. As I am sure Kev will know letting Dad cook the toast for breakfast the other morning can be a bit dangerous. We have had experiences of warm bread in the past.
Maddison wants to know when she can meet Pop (aka Pedro) is going to let her have a sleep over in the van!
Just a note for Faye and Max to lock your van door as a few beds have been short sheeted in the past.

ReplyDeleteHello Baby Boomers. I have mastered the sign in and will now be a serial pest blogger. Max after all that dentistry work and still you have problems. Your daily menu sounds very inviting and by the end of the trip Max will be re-programmed and a real SNAG-now that I have seen the picture that u do cook. Great to see you are all enjoying a fabulous adventure. Tonight has been very sad for the Thurwoods, our family cat Lola had been missing since Sunday -tonight found RIP-confirmed snake bite. Many tears flowing. Remember Faye, get those boys back when they least expect a practical joke for the most impact-they will learn not to mess with Faysee. Take care, have fun to all Jill
ReplyDeletep.s this has defaulted under Chloe's hotmail name...not my pet name!!
Hey Jillo, think I have finally mastered it too. Look out we'll both be serial pest bloggers. Love your comment re messing with Faysee, little do they know. Luv Judy xxx
