12 Jul 2010 - Stockman Hall of Fame

This morning we had the luxury of a sleep in and a champagne breakfast....what better way could you start a day in Longreach. Kevin excelled himself with his signature dish "scrambled eggs with chives", Max cooked the bacon and tomatoes and Peter chimed in with the toast. Three brolgas visited the park just as we started to cook...the brekkie was so good I think we plan another tomorrow. The Stockman Hall of Fame was next and lunch with a performance of whip cracking by 4 sisters, the daughters of the whip maker at the Hall of Fame. We ended a very enjoyable day with a sunset dinner cruise on the Thompson River.

  1. Hi Faye and Max, another couple of good days. All well here, weather perfect today but cold and windy for next 3 days. Helen

  2. We are now enjoying temperatures of 27deg. A big change from a top of around 8deg two days ago so we are back in summer clothing.

  3. How good is that part of our country, The Hall of Fame is great - how'd you like the Tex Morton exhibit Pedro? And what a sunset on the cruise. If you haven't done the Qantas museum yet, you're in for a treat in the jumbo. Sounds like you're having a ball - we're here keeping the country alive. Regards to all.
